Dynastes satanas Moser 1909

Endemic to bolivian Yungas, found in high elevations between 900-2200m in departments La Paz and Cochabamba. Lifecycle lasts two years, adults active between February and May, during colder periods. Males could reach body length of 10 cm. Protected by CITES II. Breeding projects in La Paz to support population are underway.
